We have a global reputation for our media and communications courses, with our graduates going on to work with world-leading companies across film, television, games and journalism.
Our Faculty of Media and Communication is the largest UK centre of professional higher education for film and media. Students have access to industry-standard facilities, including TV studios, editing suites, and green screen technology, helping them to hone their skills and hit the ground running in their future careers.

Explore our media production facilities
Opened in spring 2020, the Poole Gateway Building on Talbot Campus provides 5,000 square metres of space and is predominantly home to a range of high-quality, professional-level production facilities.
These include two multi-camera TV studios equipped with 4K (Ultra High Definition) cameras, a sound stage, music studios, a screening room, edit suites, sound suites, and a green screen and motion capture studio.
BFX Festival
BFX is the UK’s largest visual effects, computer games and animation festival.
Over the years, it has become established as an international event that inspires both current and future generations of artists, technicians and engineers, and that celebrates all aspects of VFX, animation and games’ unique mix of technical and creative practices.
