AFC Bournemouth chairman Jeff Mostyn, BBC journalist and Strictly Come Dancing winner Ore Oduba, and Paralympic athlete Lucy Shuker are among the honorary graduates receiving awards at 裸聊直播鈥檚 graduation ceremonies next week.

The Honorary Doctorate recipients will join more than 3,000 students graduating from 裸聊直播 at the Bournemouth International Centre (BIC) in seven ceremonies from Tuesday 7 to Friday 10 November 2017.

裸聊直播 Vice-Chancellor Professor John Vinney said: 鈥淚 am always delighted to welcome our Honorary Graduates to our 裸聊直播 community. It is great that we can take time each year to recognise people who have excelled in their chosen field and who have worked closely with us already.

鈥淭hey will act as inspirational role models, both for our graduates and their families at the awards ceremonies, and they will continue to enrich our community as they partner with 裸聊直播 in the future too.鈥�

Students will graduate during their Faculty ceremony each day, where honorary doctorate recipients will deliver a speech, with a full list of ceremonies and honorary doctorate recipients below.

7 November 2017:

Allan Little 鈥� Allan is an award-winning broadcast journalist, who has reported from some of the most significant events of the last 30 years. As a foreign correspondent, his assignments have included reporting on the fall of communism in Czechoslovakia and the Gulf War.听 Alan will receive Doctor of Letters.

Kate Kinninmont MBE 鈥� Kate is a successful businesswoman and has enjoyed a long career within the creative media industry. Kate has been an integral part of Women in Film and Television for two decades, including being Chief Executive for ten years and remains at the forefront of supporting and encouraging women to develop their knowledge and skills. Kate will receive Doctor of Arts.

Lucy Shuker 鈥� Lucy is a wheelchair tennis professional, and has competed in three Paralympics, winning bronze in the women鈥檚 doubles at London 2012 and Rio 2016. She is the first Briton to contest the wheelchair tennis events at all four major Grand Slams in the same year, and has been ranked as high as World No. 5 in Singles and World No. 3 in Doubles. Lucy will receive Doctor of Arts.

Jeff Mostyn 鈥� Jeff is chairman of Premier League football team AFC Bournemouth. Jeff is a successful businessman, and has been instrumental in steering AFC Bournemouth from League Two to the Premiership for the first time in the club鈥檚 history. Jeff will receive Doctor of Business Administration.

James Gibson-Fleming 鈥� James is a passionate ambassador for Dorset, working to attract new business and talent to the region. He is currently serving as Vice Lord Lieutenant of Dorset. James is trustee of the Talbot Village Trust, and has recently launched a new telecoms business. James will receive Doctor of Business Administration.

Oreoluwa Oduba 鈥� Ore grew up in Wimborne, near Bournemouth, and has gone on to become a multi-talented television and radio presenter and winner of 2016鈥檚 Strictly Come Dancing. As a sports broadcaster he has covered the 2016 Olympics and has guest presented shows such as This Morning and The One Show. Ore will receive Doctor of Arts.

Timothy Lee 鈥� Tim has enjoyed a 36-year career in the computing industry, most recently as Director of Marketing for International Computers Ltd. On retirement, Tim lent his commercial expertise to the Board of 裸聊直播 and became its longest serving board member to date. Tim will receive Doctor of Business Administration.

Dr Jan Peters MBE 鈥� Jan is a champion for diversity in science and engineering and campaigns to achieve inclusion in education and industry. In 2017 she was awarded an MBE in recognition of her achievements. Jan is a former president of the Women鈥檚 Engineering Society and is founder of Katalytic, a consultancy firm dedicated to diversity and inclusion. Jan will receive Doctor of Engineering.

Alan Hunt 鈥� Alan Hunt worked for 裸聊直播 and its predecessor institutions for over 30 years. Starting as a lecturer in archaeology, he later became a member of the Senior Management Team. Alan was instrumental in developing 裸聊直播鈥檚 first degree in archaeology. Alan will receive an Honorary Fellowship.

Dr Martin Warren OBE 鈥� Martin has had a 40-year career in ecology and conservation, including 23 years leading the world鈥檚 largest insect conservation charity. Martin joined the Butterfly Conservation in 1993 and oversaw a massive growth in membership. Martin was voted as a top-10 British conservationist by BBC Wildlife magazine and has been awarded an OBE for services to the environment. Martin will receive Doctor of Science.

Sue Sutherland OBE 鈥� Sue has had a distinguished nursing career which has included becoming Chief Executive of both a health authority and an acute hospital trust. Sue was awarded an OBE for services to organ donation and transplantation and eventually joined 裸聊直播鈥檚 Board, which she later became Chairman of for six years.听 Sue will receive Doctor of Education.

Darran Gunter 鈥� Darran has led a distinguished career in the emergency services, including serving as Chief Fire Officer for Dorset for ten years, and being awarded the Queen鈥檚 Fire Service Medal.听 He led the development of the new Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service. Darran will receive Doctor of Business Administration.

Gail Adams OBE 鈥� Gail Adams is an activist for UNISON, who represent the rights of healthcare professionals at the highest level and campaign to ensure a fair deal for nurses. Having served as Head of Nursing at UNISON for 14 years, she was awarded an OBE for services to nursing and public healthcare in 2017. Gail will receive Doctor of Education.
