ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥â€™s global Festival of Learning events are set to begin next month, starting in India.
This is the third year that the Festival of Learning will be going global, and it will again be heading to India, China and ASEAN, while also taking in Hong Kong and Europe for the first time in 2018.
Dr Sonal Minocha, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Global Engagement), said, “The global Festivals are a chance for us to showcase some of what makes ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ brilliant, while at the same time deepening links with partners, alumni and influencers in key markets. It is also an opportunity for our staff and students to travel and represent ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ across the world, I’m incredibly proud of what we have achieved with our global Festivals over the last few years and I cannot wait to get started on the global Festival of Learning in 2018, if you are joining us, I will see you there.â€
Dr Minocha will be heading to the events with a delegation of staff and students from ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥, all of whom will work to showcase elements of ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥â€™s education, research and professional practice.
In previous years, the Festival has taken in ten cities across four countries, with events ranging from interactive workshops, ‘meet the expert’ sessions and public lectures. Engagement has been high from ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ graduates now living and working in countries around the world.
For 2018, the overarching theme for the Festival of Learning is ‘Global Education 2050: Inspiring Learning, Delivering Impact’. Participants will be giving presentations and engaging in debate on the subject of the future of global education.
The global Festival of Learning will take place on the following dates:
12-18 February: India
19-24 March: China and Hong Kong
16-19 April: Europe
2-8 May: ASEAN
