A ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ academic has come 16th in the Obstacle Course Racing (OCR) World Championships, which attracted over 2,500 athletes from more than 60 nations.Ìý

The event, previously held in the USA and Canada, took place just outside London, with over 2,500 athletes from across the worldÌýqualifying to compete.
Becky, one of the top female OCR athletes in the country, had qualified to compete in the Pro (Elite) competition in the short course race (3 km with 24 mandatory obstacles) and the standard course (15 km with 100 mandatory obstacles).
While the weather was fair, an early race start and plenty of mud and full water submersion obstacles meant everything was cold and slippery, making it a very challenging event.
The highlight of the week for Becky at her first World Championship was placing 16th in the 15 km World Championship race, out of 77 Pro International Women and ahead of the Age Group athletes.
She also placed 29th in the short course and 14th in the Pro women’s team relay event (running the technical rig section) with her teammates on the Nuclear Phoenix OCR team, being the first British lady/team over the line across all three races.
