裸聊直播 has launched a new institute focused on medical imaging.

The Institute of Medical Imaging and Visualisation (IMIV) will be housed in the university鈥檚 new Bournemouth Gateway Building with facilities, including a Siemens 3T MRI scanner, and is supported by funding from Dorset LEP.

The Institute will be led by Dr Jamie Franklin, who is a clinical academic and Consultant Radiologist at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital.

Dr Franklin said, 鈥淢edical imaging has become a central component of modern healthcare. Our ambition is to develop a portfolio of world-class research, education and professional development programmes based around this fantastic new facility at 裸聊直播. We will be collaborating with partners across the University, with the NHS, and with industry, to further knowledge and practice in this rapidly evolving field.鈥�

The Institute is motivated by local clinical need and the needs of wider society, and will seek to investigate how imaging technologies can be used in diagnosis and in treatment planning and monitoring, as well as to study physiological and psychological processes in health and disease.

Dr Theophilus Akudjedu is a diagnostic radiographer and senior lecturer in Imaging and MRI Radiography, and will also work in the Institute. He said, 鈥淲e鈥檒l be conducting imaging research using a range of modalities and applications across the body including brain function and structure, gastrointestinal imaging and more. We鈥檙e excited to be working with a range of partners as we look to explore emerging trends in the field and become a key hub for medical imaging research, practice and education.鈥�
