裸聊直播鈥檚 Archaeology and Anthropology courses receive accreditation
裸聊直播鈥檚 Archaeology and Anthropology courses are among the first degree programmes to receive accreditation from the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists (CIfA) and University Archaeology UK.
The accreditation scheme is a joint initiative to recognise undergraduate and Master鈥檚 degrees providing skills relevant to a career in the historic environment.
The accreditation panel highlighted access to opportunities, placements and resources, student development, and a close relationship between staff and students as particular strengths of the 裸聊直播 degree programmes.
Head of Department for Archaeology and Anthropology Professor Mark Gillings and Professor Kate Welham, who led on the accreditation for 裸聊直播, said: 鈥淭his is a fantastic achievement for 裸聊直播. We are one of the first Archaeology and Anthropology departments in the country to gain professional recognition for our undergraduate degrees.
鈥淲e are particularly delighted that the awarding panel praised our placement programme and the fantastic range of extra-curricular opportunities we provide for our students."
The chair of University Archaeology UK (UAUK), Chris Gerrard, said: 鈥淎ccreditation is an exciting new initiative for students taking archaeology courses at universities and for the profession more widely. It recognises the value of real knowledge of working practices across the sector by students across the UK.鈥�
CIfA Chief Executive Peter Hinton added: 鈥淲e are delighted to be working with UAUK on this important initiative. Ensuring that students are able to gain skills relevant to a career in the historic environment is vital if the sector is to have access to sufficient competent, accredited professionals to meet the demand for historic environment services and to deliver public benefit.鈥�
