The apprenticeships are recognised by the new Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Standards of Proficiency for Registered Nurses (May 2018). These standardsset out the knowledge and skills that you, as the next generation of nurses will learn, to enable you to deliver world class nursing care across a variety of health settings. On successful completion of this course you will be awarded a BSc (Hons) degree qualification and beable to apply for professional registration with the NMC.

Applications must be made via anemployer – therefore prospective apprentices should either be employed in a healthcare role and have the support of their employer, or have made an application to a healthcare provider’s apprenticeship vacancy. For those who are not eligible for nursing through the degree apprenticeships route, please take a look at our BSc (Hons) Adult Nursing and BSc (Hons) Mental Health Nursing courses as an alternative.
