The Bournemouth Gateway Building

The Bournemouth Gateway Building is the latest addition to our campuses and the new home of the Faculty of Health & Social Sciences – although it’s open and accessible to all ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ students and staff.

If you study on one of our Health and Social Care courses, you’ll benefit from a range of practical simulation facilities in this building. They’ve been designed for you to practise essential skills before heading out on placement, helping to build your knowledge and confidence. Mirroring both clinical and community workplace settings, these specialist facilities include an operating theatre, an ambulance simulation suite, flexible skills room, plinth room, maternity suite and simulation wards.

The Bournemouth Gateway Building is also home to the Weston Library (housing resources mainly for the Faculty of Health & Social Sciences and the ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ Business School), the Wolfson Lecture Theatre, the Alumni Café, seminar rooms, and plenty of light-filled breakout spaces.

And as with all new ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ buildings, it’s been developed with sustainability as a priority, with a number of carbon-reduction measures in place.
