Our Department of Marketing, Strategy & Innovation will be hosting the first ‘Digital Marketing Colloquium’ at ֱ from 19 to 20 March 2024.

Rapid technological developments revolutionise marketing globally. The concepts of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Metaverse and Web3 have gained significant traction to re-engineer business practices and ecosystems. Marketing and consumer research are affected substantially by these technological advancements. Aspects of wellbeing, identity crises, data protection, creative rights, benefits and challenges of decentralisation and unethical marketing practices are some of the recent academic discussions and debates.

This colloquium will bring together leading researchers and practitioners to discuss and visualise the future of strategic and operational marketing. Both technology advancements and marketing developments will be explored, co-creating future innovations for collaboration and solutions.

The aim is to draw in forward-thinking research on crucial subjects that have an impact on consumers, businesses and society as a whole. Participants will be encouraged to stimulate fresh perspectives and explore uncharted territories.
