The Design & Engineering Inclusivity process aims to help further establish a supportive and welcoming environment, where everyone at ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥, from all backgrounds, can work together in an inclusive culture.
The Inclusivity Committee was formed following the success of the Athena SWAN (Advanced HE gender equality charter) application. The Department received the Athena SWAN Bronze Award in 2021, in recognition of their commitment to gender equality in higher education.Â
Celebrating the achievement
In March 2023, Dr Roya Haratian, Chair of the Inclusivity Committee, attended the AdvanceHE Athena SWAN award ceremony. This provided not only a great opportunity to celebrate our Athena SWAN Bronze Award but also a chance to network and learn from shared experiences in addressing inclusivity within academia.Â
