Student Rights
You as a student have lots of rights. Knowing your rights as students is important.
All CSU Bakersfield Students have the right to:
- Vote in all Associated Students, Inc. sponsored elections.
- Be free from discrimination based on race, sex, color, age, religion, national origin, martial status, sexual orientation, any disability, ancestry, or medical condition.
- Free speech, assembly, press, and religion.
- Hold office in Associated Students, Inc. pursuant to specific qualifications.
- Not be deprived of any liberties without due process.
- Petition the ASI Board of Directors for student funds.
- Obtain any and all public information regarding the Associated Students, Inc.
- Attend any Associated Students, Inc. sponsored or co-sponsored activity.
- Participate in shared governance of CSU Bakersfield.
- Retain rights not enumerated.
