Returning Student
ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ undergraduate students interested in re-enrolling at ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ to complete their bachelor's degree but did not enroll in courses for two or more consecutive terms, must re-apply for admission to the university.
You are considered a returning student if you:
- Applied and were admitted to ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥, and
- Enrolled during a regular term (fall or spring) and earned a letter grade, and
- Have not yet earned a degree from ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ or any other institution, and
- Have not enrolled/attended courses at ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ for 2 or more consecutive semesters.
You are NOT a returning student if you:
- Were admitted and did NOT enroll in classes the semester in which your were admitted OR
- Dropped all of your classes before Census Day OR
- Participated in Dual or Concurrent Enrollment while enrolled in high school or at your community college and did not enroll through main campus OR
- Have only attended ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ through Open University, OR
- Already completed bachelor's degree at ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥
*If you are a former student interested in returning to ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ to complete your bachelor's degree, you must re-apply for admission. Each student has a different re-application process, depending on how long ago they attended and their last academic standing. If a student last attended 3 years ago or less, they will re-apply for admission through the Re-enrollment Form. If a student last attended over 3 years ago, they will need to re-apply through Cal State Apply. Please refer to Application Steps below. If a student has only been gone one semester, they do not need to re-apply for admission and are still considered an active student.

Academic Standing
Students should be aware of their academic standing for the last semester attended as a ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ student.
Students who have been academically disqualified must submit a Petition for Reinstatement form to the Academics Petitions Committee in addition to the application for readmission. The Petition for Reinstatement form, as well as instructions and important deadlines, are available on the , or call (661) 654-2355 or email .

Please note: Students who have been academically disqualified will NOT be considered for readmission until they have been reinstated to the university and all current official transcripts and/or test scores are received.
