Multiple/Single Subject Program Course Substitution
Instructions on how an applicant to the Multiple Subject or Single Subject Credential program may make a course substitution request.
Multiple Subject or Single Subject Credential program applicants may request that an equivalent course from another institution be considered in place of one of the ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ Credential Program courses by submitting a course substitution form, unofficial transcripts, and a catalog description. A course syllabus may be submitted in addition to the catalog description. The catalog description and/or syllabus must be from the year the course was taken.
Without a course substitution request, no previous coursework will be considered for substitution. Previous coursework that is being submitted for substitution should be less than 5 years old and no course may be older than 7 years at time of preliminary credential application per CTC guidelines. The applicant may submit a course substitution request prior to applying to a credential program.
Please be advised that graduate programs are under no obligation to accept or approve course substitutions including any transfer credit that a candidate may have received as an undergraduate or in another graduate/credential program.
