A digital start--up launched by a ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ alumnus and supported by a team of ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ graduates is making a name for itself in the virtual events space.
David Burnet, who completed his BSc (Hons) in Games Technology in 2018, launched in response to the growing call for online events during the pandemic. The company creates bespoke 3D solutions across multiple platforms; offering clients the chance to showcase their products and engage with customers in the virtual world.
David said: “While the pandemic clearly posed lots of challenges for businesses, it also created new opportunities and INVIDAR was launched to enable clients to showcase their products and connect with customers at a time when physical events were off limits.
“Although people can now connect again in person, we are seeing ongoing demand for immersive, virtual experiences. As a ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ graduate, it is great to draw on my own academic experiences to develop the business and employ fellow ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ alumni, who are helping to increase the scale of what we can achieve.â€
Among INVIDAR’s client work is a project with Milwaukee Tools to create an . This work led the company to be shortlisted at the Global XR & VR Awards and prompted further work on Milwaukee’s .
ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ alumni who are now part of the INVIDAR team include Ashley Kelly, Alex Kelly and Jesse Nunes (all BSC Hons Games Design) and Alex Thake (BSc Hons Software Engineering).
