This page lists tasks or processes that need to be completed before a new employee can access systems and other information vital to their positions. This information is to assist managers and departments to transition new employees and/or new appointments into their new positions. In addition to the New Employee Orientation, our onboarding program includes two essential online modules that are automatically assigned to all new hires through CSU Learn:
Due within the first 7 days of employment, this introductory module is designed to
help new employees begin their ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ journey on the right foot. It covers our history,
organizational structure, and the CSU system. Key topics include accessibility, diversity,
equity, and inclusion, as well as an overview of benefits, payroll, and essential
policies to ensure success.
Due within the first 60 days of employment, this module is aimed at helping new hires
further integrate into their role at ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥. It offers an in-depth exploration of the
ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ community, the intricacies of working in higher education, and the career development
resources available. The module also provides additional tools and resources to enrich
the employee experience at ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥.

Primary Access and Account Information
Your ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ NetID is the first part of your email before the "@" sign. For example:

New employees who do not have an existing account with ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ will receive an email with information on how to claim their new account. Employees with a prior relationship with ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ and an existing account can work with their department to get the information needed to reset their existing account password.
Employees can also use to reclaim their account and set up their password in MyID.

All ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ community members are issued a RunnerCard, or campus identification card. RunnerCard is essential for many services across campus. Each RunnerCard is tied to an , which can be used like a debit card to purchase food at all on-campus dining locations. It can also be used as a key/proxy card for access to buildings and offices. Keys and card access for Faculty, Staff, and Students can be requested by submitting a to University Police.
The Runner ID card office is located at ITS Service Center in Lower Level of the Walter Stiern Library in Lab A.
These forms must be signed by a Dean or a Department Head prior to the issuance of keys or granting of access.

Other Account Access and Forms (Needed for Some Positions)

ProCard Users
ProCard users will also be required to submit PeopleSoft Finance Request Form to report ProCard usage.
This portal affords faculty and staff the opportunity to purchase goods to support their academic and operational needs. All purchases made must be consistent with CSU policy, the Procurement Card manual and hospitality guidelines.
New Hire Training
All ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ employees are required to complete training as required by law, CSU, or campus policies. Most of these trainings are web-based and can be completed at an employee's workstation. Employees will be automatically enrolled in online training during their first month of employment. Managers are responsible for the completion of all compliance training and should be prepared to schedule 6+ hours and a location for the employee to complete their online training. Please ask the employee to go to and login to complete training.
